AEHA recognised on world stage for strengthening ethics in the healthcare sector amidst COVID-19

The Australian Ethical Health Alliance (AEHA) was recently recognised by the Basel Institute on Governance for its positive action towards COVID-19 disruption on the healthcare system by encouraging ethics and integrity in the sector.

The Basel Institute on Governance highlighted the importance of collective action initiatives for ethics and integrity in healthcare amidst the pandemic and singled out AEHA as an “an exceptional model for unified commitment and coordination across the nation to align and strengthen ethical conduct.”

Thanks to the involvement of our member organisations, AEHA has promoted increased dialogue, trust and respect between and amongst organisations in the healthcare sector throughout the numerous challenges that have faced the sector during this time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has illustrated how shared ethical principles and commitments can foster collaboration and strengthen healthcare delivery in the Australian community.

Ethical collaboration and interaction among healthcare sector organisations – and those who work within them – benefits patients, consumers, communities, populations, healthcare systems and the healthcare sector.

AEHA recently distributed a media release that highlighted the action taken on COVID-19 disruption, which you are welcome to download and share.
